Dr. Kaitlin Hoogeveen

Dr. Kaitlin Hoogeveen is a native of Northwest Iowa, growing up in Sioux Center. After receiving her Bachelor of Arts degree from Northwestern College in Orange City, Iowa, she attended the University of Iowa College of Dentistry and earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. While in dental school, Dr. Kaitlin received several awards for high academic and clinical achievement, including being elected by her instructors to the prestigious Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society. Following dental school, Dr. Kaitlin successfully completed a two-year post-graduate residency specializing in pediatric dentistry at the University of Iowa College of Dentistry and University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.
During her residency, Dr. Kaitlin received significant training to provide comprehensive and emergency dental care for children of all ages and those with special health care needs. As well as treating children in the traditional setting, she provided patients with various sedation options including nitrous oxide (laughing gas), conscious sedation and treatment in the operating room under general anesthesia. Dr. Kaitlin also worked routinely at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics with groups of specialist doctors and nurses including cleft lip and palate, hemophilia, inpatient care, neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), oncology and transplant.
As a pediatric dentist, Dr. Kaitlin is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association, Iowa Dental Association and Iowa Pediatric Dental Association. She is also an adjunct clinical professor at the University of Iowa College of Dentistry and Dental Clinics. Dr. Kaitlin is a board-certified pediatric dentist and a diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. She is dedicated to ensuring that each of her patients has a positive experience, a healthy smile and a lifetime of good oral health.
Dr. Kaitlin and her husband Ryan enjoy professional and community involvement, attending various area activities and sporting events, spending time outside and being with family, friends and their dog, Darby.
